CHOCOLATE HUMMUS


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed 🥫
  • 56 Medjool dates, pitted (soak in hot water for 10 minutes if needed) 🌴
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder 🍫
  • 23 tbsp olive oil 🫒
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 🍦
  • 1/4 tsp salt 🧂
  • 23 tbsp water (adjust for desired consistency) 💧

Optional Add-ins:

  • 12 tbsp maple syrup if you like it sweeter 🍁
  • A pinch of cinnamon for a warm touch ✨

Instructions

Blend it up! Add the chickpeas, dates, cocoa powder, olive oil, vanilla, and salt to a food processor or blender.

Start blending, adding water a tablespoon at a time until the hummus reaches your desired creaminess. You want it smooth and spreadable!

Give it a taste and adjust the sweetness or cocoa level if needed. Feel free to add a splash of maple syrup if you like it extra sweet.

Transfer the hummus to a bowl and serve with apple slices, strawberries, pretzels, or even spread it on toast!
