Ingredients
Waffles:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Chocolate Dipping Sauce:
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined (lumps are okay!).
Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease it with nonstick spray or butter. Pour the batter in, following your waffle maker’s instructions, and cook until golden and crispy.
While the waffles are still warm, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Brush the waffles with a little melted butter, then press them into the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.
Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until just simmering. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until smooth and glossy.
Pile up those waffles, grab your chocolate sauce, and dip away!
