Strawberry Shortcake Trifle Cups


Ingredients

  • 1 pound cake, cut into small cubes or rounds
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, for macerating strawberries)

Instructions

  1. Toss the sliced strawberries with sugar in a bowl and let them sit for 10 minutes to release their juices.
  2. In clear cups or small jars, layer pound cake, a spoonful of strawberries, and a dollop of whipped cream. Repeat until the cup is full, ending with whipped cream.
  3. Garnish with a strawberry slice or a sprinkle of cake crumbs on top.
  4. Chill for 15-20 minutes before serving, or enjoy immediately for a fresh and flavorful dessert!
