Today, I’m sharing one of my all-time favorite recipes for Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. If you’re a fan of soft, chewy, and sweet cookies that are packed with hearty oats and juicy raisins, you’re in for a treat! 😋 These cookies are super easy to make and perfect for an afternoon snack or a cozy dessert.

My kids like me to swap out the raisins for chocolate chips sometimes for another yummy option.

These cookies aren’t just tasty—they’ve got some nutritional benefits too! 🍪 Oats are a great source of fiber, which can help keep you full and support healthy digestion 🌾. Raisins add natural sweetness while also providing a boost of iron and antioxidants 🍇.

Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies


Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp salt

3 cups old-fashioned oats

1 cup raisins


Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Slowly add this to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.

Stir in the oats and raisins until evenly distributed.

Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
